The Purpose:

Mapping and connecting the best people to the right job. Taking the journey of discovery to bring together clients and candidates aligned in values and culture.

Creating our logo began by looking at what Culture Map represented, and how we wished to be positioned in the market. We wanted to incorporate design elements that represented the diligence and attention to detail we employ during the recruitment journey. We wanted to visually capture the ‘road map’ between candidate and client, and the cultural alignment that connects these parties together.

Our clients are visually represented extending down, looking for top talent. They are ready to lift up and provide great opportunity, advance, and success to the right person. They are looking for a candidate who’s not only great at what they do, but has the cultural alignment to become a part of the team for the long haul.

Turquoise

... as a personality colour represents friendliness and approachability, and easy to communicate with. Its associated with refreshing, calming, sophisticated, energy, wisdom, creativity, emotional balance and loyalty.

Our candidate signifier is at the bottom of the icon, reaching up in their search for a new opportunity. They are poised to propel upwards in their careers, and provide teamwork, skill and commitment to the right organization. They are looking for a challenging role in a progressive organization that offers future opportunities for growth and development.

Blue

... as a personality colour relating to one-to-one communication, speaking the truth through verbal self-expression Its associated with honesty, truth, worthiness, loyalty, confidence, intelligence, depth and reliability.

John Le

FOUNDER / RECRUITMENT DELIVERY LEAD

John Le is an industry accredited recruitment specialist with 10+ years’ experience building talent networks across Australia, Hong Kong, and the broader Asia Pacific region.

 

His vision for Culture Map was shaped by two distinct phases in his career journey.

 

In his earlier years, John successfully established a multi-site Vodafone franchise, and completed a two-year leadership program with Promina-Suncorp. These roles both revealed a flair for leadership and entrepreneurialism, and allowed John to develop the operational skills necessary to establish and grow a profitable business.

 

It was landing a chance role with the UK’s largest recruitment company, Reed Global, however, that John discovered his true career passion for recruitment. Over the next eight years he worked hard to hone his skills, become industry accredited, and develop his extensive network. He worked with Reed Global in both Sydney and Hong Kong, was headhunted by global giant, Randstad International, and was awarded Consultant of the Year on two separate occasions.

 

He worked with global entertainment studios, multi-national fully integrated entertainment resorts, sporting clubs and associations, home entertainment distributors, IPTV, media owners, media broadcasting, entertainment sponsors and entertainment services providers.

 

So when it was time to look towards the next phase of his career, John’s next steps were obvious. Establishing Culture Map was the natural culmination of a career characterised by entrepreneurialism, a love for recruitment, and a specialisation in the areas of media, sport and entertainment.
